Boot it up and see what happens :-)

Chances are that it will boot the kernel (I have yet to find a recent x86 machine
that refused to boot single user mode) unless you have weird IDE controllers or a
USB keyboard or something stupid, but you'll need to poke around on the netbsd
website and elsewhere to see if the important accessories (video card for X, net
card, etc) will work in order to make it useful.  In general, Linux tends to be the
first to support newer hardware, but you'll sacrifice stability and security.
