I finally got my laptop running netbsd-athena again....but in trying
to rebuild kernel (irq problems with PCMCIA cards) I had a hang and had
to power off...
now machine seems to boot ok but after the "New AFS cache size.."
message in the athena startup sequence panics with a message (more of
less) like
at-kbd [R3.32]
vm_fault (0xf0a0b000, 0 1, 0) -> 1
fatal page fault in supervisor mode
trap type 6 code 0 eip f02564ac cs 8 eflags 10202 ...
panic trap
then begins a dump (I think to wd0b) which seems to shut down
prematurely with an 'area improper' message.
not being much of a system guy, I don't know where to start...I can
boot my old kernel in single user mode and run fsck. the file system
is flagged as root_filesystem and read-only.
Any suggestions as to where to begin trying to get running again
appreciated. (including something to read or peruse)
Thanks
