I have NetBSD 1.3.2 succesfully installed on my Mac Quadra 800. However,
since I like using X at resolutions other than 640x480, I tried to use a
new kernel (one of the madhatter kernels). I renamed /netbsd to
/netbsd.old and installed the new kernel as /netbsd. When I try to boot
from it, it goes through the normal sensing of devices and then instead of
running init, it says:
init: /bin/sh terminated abnormally for /etc/rc
Enter pathname of shell or press return for sh:
No matter what I type at that prompt /bin/sh, /bin/csh, or anything it just
gives me the same error message and prompt back again. I have to power
cycle the machine to stop it. The GENERIC kernel, however, boots just
fine. There are no other error messages before that point. I'm stumped.
Any ideas?
