so, i used to have a redhat(5.1) machine, and when i had this machine, i used
xdaliclock as my root window, and it funtioned fine.
now i have moved to netbsd/athena and when i run xdaliclock -root i get:
tibbetts@ten-cent-crack-whore.mit.edu:ttyp1 20:25
~> xdaliclock -root
X Error of failed request: BadAccess (attempt to access private resource denied)
Major opcode of failed request: 2 (X_ChangeWindowAttributes)
Serial number of failed request: 107
Current serial number in output stream: 115
am i using a different version of X? is something more nefarious at work?
near as i can tell, daliclock hasnt changed since '94, so i cant see a minor
version of X being the issue.
thanks
Richard
