Install problems

Hi,
I am trying to install netbsd and the installation script
fails. It fails on the newfs command with a device not configured
error.
when I run disklabel, it only lists a d: partition, which I was told
by Brad Thompson indicates that disklabel isn't doing the right thing.
Is it possible to send mail with the directories mounted by the
installer. It seems like sendmail is not available. It would be very
helpful.
Any help you could give me in solving this problem would be greatly
appreciated.
