Tonight the 8.2.2 patch release of NetBSD-Athena will go
out. This patch release has only small changes:
* The /usr/athena/bin/passwd program now changes local
passwords, including root, properly.
* The installation procedure no longer stores network
informaton in /etc/rc.conf, which prevented the documented
method of changing the network address from working. The
update script will fix machines that were installed before
this release.
Machines with AUTOUPDATE=true set in /etc/athena/rc.conf will
automatically take the update; this is the default. Other machines can
be manually updated by logging in as root when the machine is not busy
and running /srvd/update_ws.
Questions and comments should go to netbsd-help@mit.edu.
