I set up the 8.2.1 patch release of NetBSD-Athena tonight; it
will go out when the system pack volume autoreleases tonight.
Fixes in 8.2.1 include:
- The "gray" bitmaps installed by dash are fixed.
- Programs using the Athena login library properly obey /etc/nocrack
- A security hole in the Athenized sshd was fixed.
- telnet no longer drops the default Athena options if the -l
option is specified.
- telnetd supports a banner (stored in /etc/prelogin) that is
displayed before a user logs in.
- The changed behaviour of "zctl unhide" has been reverted.
- The sendmail configuration has been changed to better
deliver local mail when the machine is off the network.
Machines which have AUTOUPDATE set true in /etc/athena/rc.conf
should take the update some time tomorrow when nobody is logged
in. Maintainers of machines with AUTOUPDATE turned off can take the
update by running "/srvd/update_ws".
Please report all problems to netbsd-help@mit.edu.
