It has some advantages over FreeBSD; it supports platforms other than
the i386 and we believe it has somewhat higher quality of code base
than FreeBSD. We're biased, though (SIPB has a NetBSD core team
member and several NetBSD developers among its membership), and
FreeBSD does have some advantages over NetBSD (easier installation,
more hardware support for the moment, and some performance
advantages).
