i386 problems

hi there. i'm attempting to install NetBSD i386 on my Cyrix 5x86, and i'm
having a little problem. i made a DOS boot disk and put fdisk on it, and
after booting from it i deleted the main DOS partition, therefore emptying
the disk. however, when i try to install from the SIPB NetBSD boot disk,
it says that no NetBSD partitions or free blocks could be found, and that
it cannot continue. i know no NetBSD partitions should be found, but the
entire 1.2G drive is one free chunk of space. any suggestions?
