Hi,

I'm having problems getting some recent Linux applications running on
NetBSD- specifically, Mathematica 3 and Tecplot 7. When I try to run
the former (add math_v3.0; mathematica (or math)), I get a "bad system
call" message. When I try the latter (add tecplot_v7; tecplot), I get
an initial Tecplot startup banner in the launch xterm, but then
nothing happens (no error message, the GUI doesn't appear).

I'm pretty sure I made all necessary symlinks (Mathematica in particular has
a lot of them). I noticed that the machine I tried it on (zorp) gives a
banner saying NetBSD 1.2 on login, but $ATHENA_SYS is i386nbsd1 (which is
what all my symlinks are). As far as I know, zorp is supposed to be able
to run current Linux apps.

Any ideas?

                                         Thanks,

                                               Alex
