netbsd 1.2 on an NEC

I got the 1.2 release installed on a NEC ready 9522. I found some video card
driver on the list that worked, and it works. However, every time the mouse
moves, clicks, or the hard drive is accessed, the screen image gets these
lines on it. Sorta like taking every 30th line and shaking it violently left
and right. Something's conflicting with the video, but does anyone know
what? i.e., anyone running netbsd on an NEC that had this problem, or know
what their driver is that works?
