Argh. The DFN-CERT is *not* the "German branch of CERT". The DFN-CERT
is an independent Computer Emergency Response Team for the german
research network (DFN). We are a member of FIRST (Forum of Incident
Rsponse and Security Teams) are are working together with other teams
around the world. Other teams are using the DFN-CERT as a contact-point
in Germany to inform us about attacks to or from german sites.

Of course we are also working together with the CERT/CC (cert@cert.org) in
some issues - but we are *not* the "german part of them".

For information on FIRST try http://www.first.org/first/
To get more information about the DFN-CERT see http://www.cert.dfn.de/eng/

Bye,
  Wolfgang Ley (DFN-CERT)
