The sudden overnight (it's well past 4 AM here) burst in list traffic
was just me cleaning house and catching up on some lesser-priority back
posts. I also sent out quite a few "rejection" notes for other
submissions, and now appear to finally be caught up. (Phew! I've been
busy of late and also out of town some for DECUS and NRAO
conferences/meetings. Olaf's been busy as well, and had the Berlin
conference to prepare for.)
Don't worry though...this does not signal a return to heavy traffic on
this list--things have been quite light overall lately, even taking this
quick blizzard into account.
If you submitted a post and neither received a note in reply nor saw it
appear on the list, drop an e-mail to owner-linux-security and either
Olaf or I can try to dig up the post in question and figure out why it
wasn't approved (or officially rejected).
In the way of general FYI's (for newcomers or for those that may have a
tendency to lose track of things like I do):
Alex Yuriev <alex@bach.cis.temple.edu> has been working a good bit
lately on getting a security FAQ put together for Linux (it's still in a
relatively early stage of development). Some info pointers for this

Olaf has been steadily working on improving the NFS server. The latest
