As far as I know, the 'new version' of Crack has yet to be released, but
cracklib was. See volume38 of your friendly neighborhood
comp.sources.misc archive (ftp.sterling.com if you don't know of one
nearer) for sources. It looks useful and easily integrable into
passwd(1), but I haven't actually used it (I'm the only user on my
machine, and I trust myself to come up with good passwords).
