It is not possible for bind-4.x. We at the LUGA (the Austrian Linux User
Group) have built bind-8 RPMs for RHL5.0 and RHL4.2. The links are:

	RHL5.0:	http://www.luga.or.at/software/bind-8.1.2-3.i386.rpm
		http://www.luga.or.at/software/bind-utils-8.1.2-3.i386.rpm
		http://www.luga.or.at/software/bind-8.1.2-3.src.rpm

	RHL4.2:	http://www.luga.or.at/software/bind-8.1.2-1rh4.i386.rpm
		http://www.luga.or.at/software/bind-utils-8.1.2-1rh4.i386.rpm
		http://www.luga.or.at/software/bind-8.1.2-1rh4.src.rpm

Enclosed in the packages you find a program in /var/named which will make
the transition very easy. Just convert your named.boot to named.conf by
cd'ing into /var/named and typing:

	./named-bootconf.pl < /etc/named.boot > /etc/named.conf

I use the RHL5.0 packages for more than 3 weeks now without any problems.
