Hello Everyone,
I'd like to perform a series of syn flood resistance tests on
linux-2.0.21 and linux-2.0.21+Alan-Cox's-syn-resistant-patch. I'd like to
know of an efficient method of syn-flooding my test box. I don't know the
best place to obtain such a creature and I'd prefer to not have to slink
around IRC talking to w4r3s people. This is a legitimate test which will
not involve any machines other than my own test computer within our test
network at my office. I would greatly appreciate any help in finding
adequate test software, and any test suggestions for that matter (how to
draw up a statistical report on the effectiveness of the syn-flood
resistant patch). I will make available these semi-accurate results to
anyone who asks for them. Also, for those interested in obtaining the
afore-mentioned patch, you may find it on the kernel mailing list or
obtain it from my personally. Please contact me at
Bryan.Phillippe@terran.org. Thank you very much for any assistance you
can provide, and have a nice day.
-Bryan
