You can get around this problem by useing the ufc-crypt package with crack 4.1.
You should be able to ftp it from the COAST archive at Purdue.
ftp://coast.cs.purdue.edu/pub/COAST/tools/unix/ufc.tar.gz
Once you have ftped the file, you should unpack it so that it creates the directory
ufc-crypt in the Crack-4.1 directory. I hope that this helps.
