Have you some explanations of that? Are such failures ncr specific? I may have missed something in this thread, but I don't recall saying that there was a problem with moving from Adaptec or BusLogic to NCR (or anything else that uses the scsicam routine). Did someone report such a problem? I assume that the scsicam code would correctly detect the geometry. The problem would arise when moving from NCR to Adaptec or BusLogic, since scsicam is unlikely to use one of the 2 translations supported by Adaptec, or the 3 supported by BusLogic. Leonard
