Greetings,
I am attempting to get hot swap going on my machine. The machine has
4 hot swap drive bays connected to a aic7896 (2 drives with SCA on bus, other
2 empty at the moment).
Testing the machine I pulled one of the drives out, attempted to access
the drive, put back in, scsi remove-single.., scsi add-single...
However attempting to access the drive after this still gave an error
message:
SCSI disk error : host 0 channel 0 id 1 lun 0 return code = 28000002
[valid=0] Info fld=0x0, Current sd08:10: sense key Not Ready
Additional sense indicates Logical unit not ready, initializing command required
etc.
any ideas how I can issue this "initializing command" for the drive?
thanks,
emmanuel
ps pls cc as i am not on the list.
