You can use MAKEDEV sd** for up to sdz (see man pages)in /dev. After that
for sdaa and above you'll need to make the nodes with "mknod" and track
your major and minor numbers:
i.e.
mknod sdaa b 8 222
mknod sdaa1 b 8 223
