I'm using RH6.1 on Compaq P1600(with symbios 53c8xx pci scsi controler).I install it on the second HD.It works perfectly. And LILO is installed without error. But when using "system commander" to boot linux,it complains "NTLDR wasn't found".
I don't know why "system commander" use NTLDR to boot linux.I have NTLDR on my first HD,it works well for other OS.I can see linux's partion info in "system commander",it's NOT bootable. Why?
I have also tried to use NTLDR to boot linux,
"dd if=/dev/sdb1 of=/bootsect.lnx bs=512 count=1"
copy bootsect.lnx to c:\; add linux entry into boot.ini
but this time it complains some "lineral mode" error with a lot of address.
I've also tried "lineral mode" when installing lilo, but the same result.
