OK, I'll bite. What does JBOD mean?
   - Junk Bunch Of Disks? (hardly)

"Just a Bunch of Disks". (In contrast to boxes which include a Raid
controller, or some other kind of "intelligence" along with the disks.)

Example usage: "You can buy a 4U JBOD which can be hooked up to a Fullon
2200 with a Mylex RAID controller which will provide half a terrabyte of
storage in just 6U of rackspace."

It's basically just YAA (yet another acronym). (And remember, PCMCIA
stands for People Can't Memorize Computer Industry Acronyms. :-)
