Hi,
I just installed a RedHat 6.2 on PC and found the system wasn't so
stable as I've imaged. And then I changed the memory, upgraded kernel
to 2.2.16, ... Whatever I do, one problem persists:
when I compute md5sum of a large file (size>100M, I try on
redhat-6.2-i386.iso), it gives different results everytime. I think
it's the scsi driver problem.
After I reduce the file size to under 100M, say 75M, the md5sum
is ok.
My two hard disks are both Seagate SCSI disks. The SCSI host
adapter is "Adaptec AIC-7880 Ultra/Ultra W host adapter".
I need to be confirmed about this.
