I just setup a CD burner on RedHat 6.2. Everything went great with the install process. I was able to use mkisofs to make the image and then mount the image file and everything. I used cdrecord to burn the image onto the CD-RW and that worked fine.

I have 5 different machines. Four of them are identical and the only difference with the 5th one is that it's CD-ROM drive is 40x instead of 50x (but they are from the same manufacturer, etc). I can read the CD_RW that I just burned with no problems on the oddball machine (with the 40x drive). When I try to read the CD on one of the other 4 machines they all give me the same error when I try to mount:

/dev/cdrom: Wrong medium type

All 5 machines have the same entry in their /etc/fstab file:

/dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom iso9660 noauto,owner,ro 0 0

Can anyone help????

Thanks!!
Susan
