Enable built-in termination on the NCR card, and terminate only
the drive that is at the end of the cable.
So (assuming .5Gb is at end of cable):
NCR53C810 (built-in term.)

|------ 1G_fast_scsi-II not terminated id1
|------ .5G_fast_scsi-II terminated id2
