I originally joined this list to solve a problem with my MediaVision
Sound/CD-rom (MV 1100 series) controller. I was not able to access the CD-Rom drive.

At this point we have solved the problem and I thought I should post
the results here. Unfortunately, this only has been tested in the
Redhat version of Linux.

I used the following settings on my the controller board for the SCSI
device:

mem C8000 (the default is CA000)
IRQ 11 (this is the default)

Choices during the initial RedHat setup:

A- other SCSI device
0(zero) - No Ethernet
0(zero) - IDE/Atapi and SCSI

I believe this is Kernel image boot0056. look in image.txt to verify

boot paramaters:

tmc8xx=0xc8000,11

It mounted the drive like a champ.

We changed the base address from 0xca000 to 0xc8000. It think it is possible
that something in my machine's bios was getting in the way of the
 tmc driver initially.

Hope this is helpful to someone.
