Hi. I am having a problem getting my PPA3 (IOMEGA parallel) drive
working. When the system init's, it gives the following message:
PPA: unable to initialize controller at 0x378, error 2.
Then (probably related, but not sure), if I try to do:
mount /dev/sda4 /zipdisk
the system says something to the effect of "the kernel does not
recognize /dev/sda4 as a block device").
I have the drive properly connected, etc, and cannot seem to figure out
what the source of this problem might be. The 0x378 port is does work on
the system, and I do not currently have parallel printer support
configured into the kernel. Any ideas on this? Also, any idea where I
can obtain a list of these errors (error 2 = x) so that I don't seem like
such a dummy next time? :^)
The PPA support was config'd into the kernel (not a module).
Thanks a lot.
