Hi,
I'm trying to install the red-Hat 6.0 on a HP Netserver E60 with :
PII 450 MHZ, Ram : 256 Mo and DD 9,2 Go (2 disks with AMI MegaRaid
card).
The problem occured during the Red-Hat installation.
It didn't probe my SCSI card (mother card integrated), an adaptec AIC
7895
it manages to see the AMI Mega Raid card, but
when I try to force the Adaptec 274X, 284X, 294X driver, the system stop
immediately during the autoprobe
I can only turn the power off and on (Ctrl-Alt F1, F2, F3, F4 didn't
work).
I can boot that netserver because disks are on the Raid card, but on the
SCSI bus, I have a DAT.
The BIOS for it is concerned, detects correctly the SCSI card
and this one detects correctly her DAT on ID n°3.
It's very strange because I manage to make the same configuration on
another machine (another HP netserver E60 with same caracterictics)
without problem.
If somebody has an idea ?
Thanks in advance.
Sébastien
