certainly, i was a bit alarmed because the driver that was available off
the tekram website caused a kernel panic when i compiled it in. when i did
in fact read the help for the ncr53c8xx it did seem obvious. the problem
was that the driver at the card manufacturers site caused problems as did
the initial generic kernel that came with redhat.
