Greetings everyone.
Very interesting issue.
It is A long time that I want to find out a way to share disks
between two (or more ) nodes.
I know that exist Coda,NFS, etc etc all throught network.
But Anyone have experience on some project on sharing files
between different nodes sharing the same bus (scsi fibre channel).
I read about http://www.parl.clemson.edu/pvfs/papers.html PVFS.
ANd it seems to go near what I want.. But it is not clear.
All the locking mechaninsm, and be careful about disk caching...
etc
etc.
I try to investigate even on commercial product. (veritas cluster,
legato..)
but it is not so clear.
Anyone have some help ? Living experience...
