This is probably your problem. Rev. L912 (at least on my Qantum Saturn)
was buggy and had exactly the problem to issue QUEUE FULL without cause.
The system usually came back after the SCSI Reset, but it was annoying. 

A firmware upgrade helped a lot. Is Tagged queuing enabled? Try to switch
it off, but that didn't help for me, even without TQ I got the error.

The firmware is lying around deepely buried on the quantum
homepage/ftpserver...... not any more. It's quit on top now: :-)
