SCA drives have a single connector that has contacts for both the SCSI
interface and power. They're designed to be safe for hot-swap but you
have to have a system designed to use them. Generally, this means a
system with a backplane that has SCA connectors.

Can't help you there. You can get IDE for less than that price...but SCSI
will probably be 50-100% more than your target price.
