Hello
Does anyone have any experience with these AIT tape drives? The SDX-300c
(AIT 1) has a transfer rate of 3MB/sec (uncompressed) with 35GB per tape and
the SDX-500c (AIT 2) has a transfer rate of 6MB/sec with 50GB/cartridge.
They are reasonably priced and seem ideal for my project which involves
backing up data captured by a real-time data (sonar) acquisition system.
Sony's Unix Compatibility guide (
http://www.sony-cp.com/_E/Support/Download/Compatibility/unix207.pdf )
states they are compatible with RedHat 6/Suse distributions - anyone used
one?
Best regards
Allan Willcox
