I have a Adaptec AHA-2940 Ultra Wide card which had two IBM SCSI
harddrives (DDRS-34560) connected to it.

The adapter card is SCSI ID 7, and the two harddrives have 5 and 6.

I am running RedHat 6.0 Ecommerce version, kernel 2.2.5-15smp on
a dual Celeron (366) ABIT mother board.

The Adaptec 2940 recognizes both harddrives. I have Plug and Play
SCAM (SCSI Configured AutoMatically) protocol on to assign the SCSI
IDs dynamically at bootup.

Linux does not recognize both harddrives. It does recognize sda
but says nothing about sdb .

I am not sure what is the problem. I have read through the FAQs
but haven't figured out a resolution.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,
