You probably want the gsi8 drivers from
ftp://tsx-11.mit.ecu/pub/linux/ALPHA/scsi
they have interrupt driven DMA working.
I'm not really sure why I never got arround to integrating all of
those changes; might be worth doing. You probably want to take
a look at what the 68k people have done too - for some odd reason, a lot
of Amiga SCSI boards use the 5380 chips.
