I've got a question regarding SCSI disk speeds. I've got some various SCSI hds
around here, and I've been timing some of them with Linux and hdparm. I'd like
to know if these numbers look roughly correct.

The first is a SEAGATE baracuda 2gig drive.
The second is a Sun (SEAGATE) 2gig drive.
The third is a Conner 2gig drive.

Controller is a BusLogic 946C (PCI) on a P133. Tests were run under very low
system load. I ran multiple tests and the results were all very close to what
I've put here.

1. Do these numbers look reasonable? (I would have expected the Seagate
baracuda drive to perform better than this.)

2. Is hdparm even a good way to test this?

TIA for any information/comments,
baba
