Thanks for all that responded to my last post about Linux and
my In2000 SCSI Host Adapter. I was told to try disabling the BIOS
detection on the card and see if that worked. Well, I recompiled
1.2.13 with In2000 support and rebooted with the new kernel and
got a message like this when it came to the scsi probe section:
IN2000-Found dip settings of 6D
IN2000-Error. BIOS not set.
scsi: 0 hosts.
scsi: detected total.
Or something close to that. So now that my BIOS is disabled, what should
I try next? I think Linux and my IN2000 were not made for each other.
Quick reminder on my hardware. 486DX2/66, 20 megs of RAM, 420 IDE, 1 gig SCSI.
Thanks,
Bradley
