I am running 1.2.13 linux on a 486 dx2/66 computer.
I am trying to connect up a CONNER CP-30540 SCSI drive
using an Adaptec 1542B to the machine, but am experiencing
some strange behavior.
After a cold poweron.
Under DOS (yuck), when i boot the system, the drive spins
up, and is accessible. I can reboot, and all continues to
work just fine.
Under Linux, when i boot the system, Linux makes special
mention that it is spinning up the drive, and after a few
seconds, does so, and the drive is accessible. However,
if i do a warm reboot, the drive is no longer recognized.
There is a drive jumper setting for spinning up, when I have
checked, and even exchanged the drive for. Is there something
else i can try. I'l sure like to use the disk.
