Hi :
I have a stupid problem. forgive me!
I have an aha2940u SCSI card and two SCSI disk. When I put the card on
my machine, and use the following command :
#insmod aic7xxx
It found the SCSI card and disk. Everything is OK! (I use mandrake,
kernel 2.2.9)
But when I add the following lines in the /etc/conf.modules file:
alias scsi_hostadapter aic7xxx
options aic7xxx aic7xxx=verbose,extended
the init program can't find any SCSI card and disk!!!
Finally, I compile the kernel with aic7xxx support, and use the append
command in lilo.conf file. Everything is OK!
Is there anyone who can tell me what's wrong with my conf.modules? Am I
using the wrong options or parameters?
Thanks in advance!
Eric.Wang
