Hello All,
I have recently gotten a 4GB drive and have subsequently had to
change the drive geometry to 255 heads/ 63 sector. However, with this new
mapping linux has all kinds of problem. Fdisk can be directed to use the
new geometry, however, after creating the partition and exiting, the kernel
has problems with the recognizing the partition. The hd parameter at boot up
does not seem to work. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. --ron
