Hi,
I have a damaged cd, and when I try to read it, I get strange error:
> cat /dev/scd1 > im
SCSI CD error : host 0 id 6 lun 0 return code = 002
Current error sr0b:01: sense key Recovered Error
Additional sense indicates Recovered data with error correction applied
CD-ROM I/O error: dev 0b:01, sector 848
cat: /dev/scd1: Imput/output error
The strangeness is that the error is considered fatal and cat terminates.
If I understand the error correctly, it says that a data error was recovered
using error correction. If so, this should not be hard error.
linux-2.2.7, alpha. aha-2940.
cd-rom:
Vendor: HP Model: CD-Writer 6020 Rev: 1.07
Type: CD-ROM ANSI SCSI revision: 02
Any hints would be appreciated. (please cc: me)
Alexander.
