If you really mean sending a SCSI WRITE command to a
CD writer then you could use the linux "sg" device. See
documentation pointed to on:
http://www.torque.net/sg

There are 'sg_dd2048' and 'sg_dd2352' utilities there
(modelled on the Unix "dd" command) that may be
useful in this regard.


Mostly likely you don't really want something so
low level. Perhaps you may like to subscribe to
cdwrite list and try the question again (perhaps
with more details).
