Hi everyone,
I finally found some time to clean my DC390/tmscsim/AM53C974 SCSI driver a
little bit. I ended spending some more time and doing major cleanups.
(Thanks to SuSE which gives me support, I got some more time, now.)
Since 2.0d2, I did
* clean up the selection process
* clean up the result handling
* fixed a bug which allowed max 16 tags
* prevent the driver from copying the SCSI command and therefore
needing less time and space
The result is driver 2.0d8. It has gotten some testing, here and it works
like a charm. Just one precaution: I was not able to test Tagged Command
Queuing due to my current setup (will be changed soon). The last time I did
something wrong wrt to TCQ (it was 1.20g or similar), it could resault in
lost partition tables. So please print them or have a backup of it. I don't
think, something like this will happen, though.
I consider driver 2.0d8 as 2.0e cadidate which should go straight into the
kernel. Please test!
