Please try the tmscsim driver. It was originally written for Tekram DC390
adapters, but made to work with any AM53C974 based adapter.
Generally, most people have better experience using it instead of the old,
unmaintained AM53C974 driver.
For your JVC CD-R, you may need to prevent a bus reset on loading the
driver. You need to pass some parameters to the driver to achieve this.
