I have an Adaptec 2940w controler and 2 seagate barracuda
9 gig drives. I'm currently trying to install slackware 3.6 and I've
run
into two problems. First, the SCSI host recognizes both drives
on boot up, but linux only sees the one with id 1 (the other has id 0).
I continued and just installed slackware on the drive that was
recognized. Now that it's installed, I can't seem to be able to
boot off the hard drive. I did set the boot id in the scsi bios to 1.
It simply freeezes at the point where it would begin booting of
the drive.
Sorry if this is a newbie question. Any help would be
appreciated.
Thanks.
