Hello:
I am trying to install linux. I have heard that the adaptec1640
scsi controller works with linux (re linux faq). Can you tell me what
driver you use if you are using this controller. My guess is the 1740
driver. I also need to know how to set up the driver. My starter
diskette says the following for my scsi hard disk:
scsi adapter address id 7
fixed disk id 7 lun=0
io address 3540-3547
dma arbitration level c
fairness on
rom wait state enable.
I have tried to use this controller with the mcc-interim
distribution. I tried various parameters and I only get a message of 0
scsi disks present. Any help would be appreciated.
