Hello,
after searching in linux-scsi archive list and nothing found there.
I ask here:
I have a APC164UX with SymBios - SCSI-Controller onboard with three
harddrives (one on narrow scsi, two (Atlas,DGHS) on ultra-wide cable) and
one cdrom (on narrow).
After installing rh5.2 (for alpha) with kernel 2.0.35, i have no problems
to boot the system and i update to 2.2.1. With 2.2.1 the ncr53c8xx (v3.1f)
can't read the partition table from IBM DGHS.
I compile the kernel with SYNC_TRANSFER_MODE 0 (default: 20) - async mode -
and now the driver read the partition table correctly.
Is this a driver or a (hw)configuration problem ?
