I have a system based on the ASUS P2B-DS motherbother, which includes the AIC
7890 scsi controller. The hard disk is an ultra2 wide scsi seagate one. The
processor is a PII t 350MHz. I have the 2.2.1 linux kernel. The problem is that
although I am sure from the specifications of AIC7890 that it can be as fast as
80MB/s only half that speed can be achieved from my kernel, which is I believe
quite "fresh".
Is this speed not supported yet? Will it be? Perhaps a new experimental driver
is being under development? Or is it my fault, due to something which I did not
set up properly?
Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.
