Hi,
I am looking for a scsi pcmcia card. I got t as much information as I could get off the web.
Now I could buy a BusToaster SCSI2 pcmcia card. But I basically would prefer the
1480 from adaptec, which is a cardbus card. The only problem is that apperantly there are
a lot of problems with cardbus and Linux. ( My syslink cardbus 10/100 Ethernet card is still
not working under Linux...).
And the specs of the 1480 say: either three ultra scsi or 7 scsi1/2 adpters can be attached...
My two questions are:
1. Has anyone out there got the 1480 adaptec running on his linux
2. Can I plug 2 SCSI2 and 1 ultra Scsi to it????
I really don't want to waste my money on cardbus card I can't get running,
but on the other hand I don't like to shrink the throughput of the SCSI2 (10MB/s)
to 2MB/s cause of the pcmcia interface throughput......
that's my dilemma
help me out of it
