Should be. For Redhat you probably just need to set up /etc/conf.modules
with the right module. For instance, for an Adaptec 2940 card you would add
something like this:
alias scsi_hostadapter aic7xxx
or for a Symbios (810, 875 etc) card
alias scsi_hostadapter ncr53c8xx
If you let this list know what type of card you have more specific help can
probably be provided.
